In our opening webinar we are joined by Sammy Taggart from Ulster University who will set the stage for the series by exploring what generative AI is, why it matters, and how it is already reshaping education. Drawing on the 'Trailblazing NI Report: Generative AI in Education', this session will provide a broad overview of the opportunities and challenges AI presents for schools.

Aims:

• Introduce key concepts and terminology related to AI in education;
• Explore findings from the Trailblazing NI Report;
• Build awareness of the potential impact of AI on teaching, learning and leadership.
