Safeguarding & Child Protection Refresher Training for Senior Youth Officers, Advisors and Head of Service

AIM:  

To build upon the knowledge and understanding of your role in managing child protection and safeguarding within your various settings.

OBJECTIVES:

Participants will have the opportunity to;

• Enhance their knowledge of current legislation and guidance, policies and best practice for child protection and safeguarding in the youth service.  
• Revisit the roles and responsibilities of the safeguarding team and other professionals in the child protection process.
• Consider how allegations and complaints against staff should be managed.
• Understand the processes for Case Management and Domestic Homicide Review
