AIMS:
The training is part of an evidence-based suite of trainings available through the Primary Children Looked After Advisory Service.
It aims to increase the awareness of the whole staff team regarding the sensory and survival needs of Children Looked After, building on previous knowledge from the Trauma and Attachment Whole School Awareness Training. Staff can consider its application to Children Looked After, and indeed, every child in the school environment.
This training is developed and delivered by Aisling Mitchell, Advanced Clinical Specialist, Paediatric Occupational Therapist, specifically for the Primary Children Looked After Service following on from her consultancy work with us.
It is divided into 3 sections, each with its own recording, providing approximately 45 minutes of pre-recorded material:
The links to access the videos will be provided in your confirmation email.
Please ensure you enter your email address correctly to receive the training details.
Please watch each recording in order initially. Once the whole training has been viewed, you are free to navigate back and forth through the videos if you want a ‘top up’, as many times as you wish.
