Presenter: Mr Michel Pobloth - Kilkeel High School
Michel Pobloth from Kilkeel High School shares his experience of developing a strong culture of valuing pupils' views through meaningful consultation by replicating societal democratic processes in school. He explores procedures for school council elections, time-effective meeting cycles as well as active forms of participation such as petitions, proposals and focus groups to inform decision-making that leads to school improvement. This session is ideal for school leaders and teachers looking to set up or revive their approach to consulting pupils' views and establising student participation through a variety of pathways.
