This is a series of workshops to support principals through the stages of self-evaluation leading to the development of a collaborative and impactful school development plan (SDP).
Planning for Improvement 1: This workshop will share the stages of developing an owned and impactful strategic plan. Principals will be provided with a possible timeline for creating the strategic plan, opportunities to share approaches, enabling them to pace the process and to complete a comprehensive 3-year plan.
Planning for Improvement 2: This workshop will highlight the need and benefits of engaging all stakeholders in self-evaluation to inform the school development planning process. Principals will explore a range of self-evaluation tools.
Planning for Improvement 3: During this workshop time will be given to discuss how schools can analyse and use feedback to inform future actions. This workshop will also support principals on ways to collaborate with all staff to select the main priorities for the SDP. This will include developing an owned 3-year plan and costed action plans.
Planning for Improvement 4: Principals will explore the SDP schedule further (with any updates) and be given guidance on how to draft a concise and meaningful document. Strong links between self-evaluation, the priorities, future actions and consultation evidence will be explored. The importance of sharing and celebrating the successes of the SDP will also be stressed.
