In our opening webinar we are joined by Professor Laura Lundy from Queen's University Belfast. Laura is a distinguished expert in children's rights, serving as Co-Director of the Centre for Children's Rights at Queen University Belfast. She is renowned for her Lundy Model of Child Particpation, which is widely used in national and international frameworks. Her work spans children's right to participate in decision-making, the right to education and the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. She has led impactful research projects, advised global organisations and developed child-friendly versions of legal texts to enhance public understanding of children's rights. In this webinar, Laura explores aspects of her research around child participation, including her model for participation and the importance of child participation in the school setting.
