This webinar will support school leaders to understand the benefits of appointing an Early Career Teacher and be introduced to the wider support available for Early Career Teachers and Teacher Tutors.

The session will outline how high quality induction, mentoring and professional learning can support ECT confidence, retention and impact in the classroom, while also strengthening professional culture across the school.

Objectives

• Strengthen school leaders’ understanding of the positive contribution Early Career Teachers bring to schools, including fresh perspectives, enhanced capacity, professional growth and a sustainable workforce for the future.

• Clarify the requirements for induction and early professional development, including roles and responsibilities, and outline the professional learning, resources and support available to ensure ECT success.
