EA C2k - Learning from Home - Locality North

The EA C2k eLearning Team is offering support sessions to teachers who are new to the C2k eLearning services between Monday 10th - Friday 21st August 2020. These sessions ranging from 30 - 45 mins will be delivered online and include a webinar followed by a Q&A session. Each session will be accompanied by links to useful resources to act as a springboard for further exploration.

Please share with the relevant staff in your school as applications should be completed by those staff wishing to attend. It is beneficial to identify early the strategic direction of your school regarding using applications to provide blended learning. Selecting the most appropriate tool(s) will allow your school to have a more focused approach and also make spaces available for other schools.

Showcasing application of eLearning tools

Webinars showcasing how schools have used each of the eLearning Tools have been run this term and are available in Media Library via My School (https://www.c2kschools.net/). There are plans to run further Showcasing webinars and support sessions for those already familiar with and using the C2k eLearning services.  

C2k NewsDesk Support Session

The C2k NewsDesk gives pupils an opportunity to engage with current news stories in a digital environment. Students can read and comment on stories and submit their own topical writing to a ready-made audience.

Collaborate Ultra Support Session

Collaborate Ultra is a secure Video Conferencing solution for Education. Every teaching and non-teaching member of staff in school has their own account. Collaborate ultra allows users to communicate and share resources with other users.

G Suite Support Sessions

G Suite offers a range of tools supporting anytime access to files and provision for staff and pupil collaboration.

Sessions will cover:-

1. Google Drive and Shared Drives

2. Google Classroom: Creating a Google Class, Setting Permissions, Giving Pupils Access

3. Google Classroom: Adding resources, assignments and discussions

O365 Support sessions

Learn how the range of O365 online apps are easily accessible to support both teachers and students when working and learning at home or in school

Sessions will cover:-

1. Using O365 to support remote learning

2. Building your Team – Using MS Teams for Staff collaboration: Creating Teams and setting up required features ie. discussions and using MeetNow for online meetings.

3. Using Teams to support pupil learning: Setting up Teams and channels, incorporating discussion and announcements, sharing resources, assessment and feedback, tracking student engagment and using MeetNow for online lessons.

 Support documentation and materials are available through C2k Exchange and Media Library which can be accessed through My School (https://www.c2kschools.net/).

Online Learning resources to support the use of G Suite G Suite and Microsoft Office O365 are also available.
