Professional Learning and Development Programme for Classroom Assistants - Early Years / Foundation Stage

Aim:

This Professional Learning & Development Programme aims to provide classroom assistants with an opportunity to explore and learn how to implement a wide range of strategies and resources within their classroom to better support their pupils with SEN.

Structure/Content:

This programme has been specifically structured into the following modules to support Early Years/Foundation Specialist Provision staff in the areas of:

• Physical Structure
• Visual Schedules
• Developing Activity Systems to Promote Pupil Independence
• Visual Supports
• Supporting Pupils with SBEW Needs
• Play Skills
• Developing Language and Fine Motor Skills through Play Dough
• Promoting Early Interaction Skills
• Developing Attention and Listening Skills
• Developing Social Skills through Duplo/Lego

Day 1: 28th August 2025 - Antrim Board Centre - 9:30AM - 3:30PM

Day 2: 29th August 2025 - Antrim Board Centre - 9:30AM - 3:30PM

Day 3: 3rd October 2025 - Antrim Board Centre - 9:30AM - 3:30PM

Day 1: 13th November 2025 - Armagh Teachers' Centre - 9:30AM - 3:30PM

Day 2: 14th November 2025 - Armagh Teachers' Centre - 9:30AM - 3:30PM

Day 3: 21st November 2025 - Armagh Teachers' Centre - 9:30AM - 3:30PM
